Job summary

Qualifications

• PTCB certification is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under supervision.
• Operate pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers in system usage and cash register operations.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Manage pharmacy department inventory, including ordering and receiving shipments.
• Support and coordinate clinical services and liaise with medical providers as needed.
• Document prescription errors and comply with quality improvement procedures.
• Assist with external outreach and maintain relationships with the local medical community.
