Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacist-led care in our store. Under supervision, you will enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify accuracy, and help manage workflow to keep patients satisfied.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement).

Responsibilities

• Assist under pharmacist supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring medications; verify accuracy and interactions.
• Assist with scheduling and maintaining workflow.
• Process and resubmit manual third-party claims efficiently.
• Lead pharmacy department inventory management activities.
• Support clinical services and coordination with Walgreens healthcare providers.
