Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing prescription medications in inpatient hospital settings or outpatient retail pharmacies. You will help fill orders, ensure correct delivery, and support a range of distribution operations.

The role requires a Massachusetts-licensed Pharmacy Technician or intern with PTCB certification (or a student with Mass internship license) and at least one year of pharmacy experience, including

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a Registered Technician or Pharmacy Intern with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy and PTCB certified or a Pharmacy student in good standing with Mass. internship license.
• Ability to repeatedly lift Thirty Pounds during the shift.
• Knowledge of standard pharmaceutical/medical terms, abbreviations and symbols used in prescribing/dispensing medications.
• Experience: at least one year of Pharmacy experience including sterile compounding and/or retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of prescriptions.
• Fill orders for patients and ensure correct delivery to inpatient units or outpatient setting.
• Repackage and compounds medications as needed.
• Maintain inventory levels and rotate stock.
• Answer calls and triage requests while resolving questions or problems.
