Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under supervision by pharmacist.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications; verify accuracy.
• Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to related policies.
• Support inventory management and assist with clerical duties.
• Provide customer assistance and guide to OTC products as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with local medical community.
