Job summary

Optum is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Cincinnati to enter prescriptions, verify patient data, and liaise with patients, pharmacists, and doctors. You will handle refill assessments, delivery setup, and data entry in the ambulatory infusion setting and other outpatient facilities.

The role requires standing and lifting up to 30 lbs, progress through HIPAA compliance, and effective multitasking while delivering patient-centric care. Ohio licensure and PTCB are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with Windows PC applications and common software.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Enter prescriptions from intake to order completion and verify member data.
• Liaise with patients, pharmacists, and doctors by phone or email.
• Communicate clearly with patients and healthcare providers.
• Complete refill assessments and set up delivery details.
• Access and retrieve prescriptions and lab information in the system.
• Verify reimbursability and resolve rejected claims.
• Process refills and interpret supply needs for therapies.
• Resolve issues with customers providing accurate information.
• Multitask and coordinate with partners to ensure quality care.
• Follow HIPAA and all state/federal regulations and policies.
