Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under supervision, processing prescriptions, and coaching staff in a fast-paced retail pharmacy. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, medication safety, and customer service excellence.

You will help manage inventory, process third-party claims, and support cashiers while ensuring compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations. Evening/weekend flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and assist technicians and cashiers.
• Ensure accuracy in entering patient and drug information and check for interactions.
• Maintain inventory, stock shelves, and assist in store operations.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience and resolve customer issues.
• Coach and train pharmacy staff on processes and tools.
• Adhere to Walgreens policies and quality programs.
