Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist, enter patient and drug data, fill prescriptions, and ensure safety through interaction checks. You will support inventory, claims processing, and customer service at the store level.

The role requires PTCB/ExCPT certification and at least 1 year of experience; fluency in English and flexibility for evenings/weekends are essential, with immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision by Pharmacist.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems, fill prescriptions, verify medicines and check interactions.
• Report prescription errors and comply with Quality Improvement Programs.
• Strictly adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policy.
• Handle cash and assist customers to OTC products and programming.
• Process third-party claims and support clerical duties as assigned.
• Lead pharmacy inventory management and coordinate with store team on KPIs.
• Support clinical services and coordination with healthcare providers as required.
