Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Strategic Advisor to leverage deep pharmacy industry expertise to identify cost-of-care savings, develop revenue-generating pharmacy products and programs, and lead strategic initiatives that drive enterprise value.

You will partner with PBMs, vendors and leaders to evaluate trends, conduct analyses, and present recommendations to senior leadership. A Bachelor's or Master's in a related field and 5+ (or 3+ with master's) years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cross-functional programs, projects, and strategic initiatives from opportunity assessment through execution and value realization.
• The ideal candidate is a strategic and innovative thought leader with experience in pharmacy health plan operations, PBM, pharmacy strategy, or healthcare consulting.
• Strong preference for Medicare experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and lead innovative pharmacy strategies that reduce cost of care, improve member outcomes, and support enterprise growth.
• Develop and optimize pharmacy products, programs, and partnerships to create new revenue streams and enhance market competitiveness.
• Evaluate emerging industry, regulatory, and technology trends to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
• Conduct complex financial, operational, and market analyses to support strategic decision-making and investment priorities.
• Present strategic recommendations and business insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Build and manage relationships with PBMs, vendors, and partners to accelerate innovation and value creation.
• Serve as a pharmacy strategy expert and collaborate across the enterprise to advance business objectives.
• Lead the execution, measurement, and continuous improvement of strategic initiatives that deliver sustainable enterprise value.
