Job summary

Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children seeks a Pharmacy Clinical/Operations Specialist to lead and participate in clinical and operational pharmacy programs. You will monitor patient regimens, mentor staff and students, and help implement clinical initiatives.

The role requires licensure in Colorado; a Pharm.D. is preferred, with experience in hospital pharmacy and active participation in rounds and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Current licensure by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy as a registered Pharmacist; BLS and ACLS within first 2 months.
• Bachelor's degree required; Pharm.D. preferred.
• Experience: 1 year as Advanced Clinical Pharmacist or 5 years general hospital pharmacy; PGY2 residency or fellowship encouraged.
• Special certifications: BCPS; FCCP or FASHP desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret orders and verify into the pharmacy computer system.
• Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.
• Monitor drug regimens for interactions and appropriateness.
• Provide clinical consultations and cost-effective alternatives.
• Lead and mentor pharmacy staff and students; participate in rounds.
• Maintain formulary and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and oversee specialized clinical services and AMP.
