Job summary

OWL Services is seeking a Petroleum Heavy Maintenance Lead Technician to supervise and execute heavy maintenance on fueling systems at commercial and retail sites. You will lead field work, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure safety and quality without constant supervision.

Responsibilities include mobilizing to sites, coordinating with managers and customers, reviewing drawings, and documenting daily reports while upholding standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on petroleum service, maintenance, or construction.
• Strong knowledge of fuel systems including tanks, piping and dispensing equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy maintenance tasks independently from start to finish.
• Demonstrated field leadership at lead technician or foreman level.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform heavy maintenance work on petroleum fueling systems at commercial and retail sites.
• Execute repairs and replacements including spill bucket, STP, containment sump, drop tube, and piping work.
• Diagnose system issues and develop field solutions with minimal guidance.
• Mobilize, manage, and complete jobs independently or with small crews.
• Ensure work complies with company standards, regs, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, and inspectors as needed.
• Maintain daily reports, photos, and material tracking.
• Identify additional repair needs and communicate potential change orders.
