Job summary

OWL Services is seeking an experienced Petroleum Heavy Maintenance Lead Technician to spearhead complex field projects at commercial and retail fueling sites. You will independently manage crews, troubleshoot advanced issues, and ensure safety and quality across assignments.

This role emphasizes leadership in the field, adherence to environmental regulations, and strong communication with project managers and customers. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on petroleum service, maintenance, or construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of fuel systems including tanks, piping, and dispensing equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy maintenance tasks independently from start to finish.
• Demonstrated field leadership (lead technician or foreman level).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform heavy maintenance work on petroleum fueling systems at commercial and retail sites.
• Diagnose system issues and develop effective field solutions with minimal guidance.
• Mobilize, manage, and complete jobs independently or with small crews.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, and inspectors as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, photos, and material tracking.
• Identify additional repair needs and communicate potential change orders or scope gaps.
• Uphold jobsite safety standards, including proper PPE use and hazard recognition.
