Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking an experienced researcher to lead the development of PET detector electronics for next‑generation imaging systems. You will design readout architectures and integrate analog front‑end, ASIC interfaces, and FPGA processing for high‑performance data acquisition.

The role requires a PhD in a related field and 5–10 years of hands‑on PET electronics experience, with strong collaboration across R&D, systems, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant R&D experience with PET detector electronics.
• Hands-on development of PET detector electronics.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design and PCB prototyping.
• Knowledge of detector architectures and signal acquisition.
• Experience with Python, C/C++, and FPGA tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D of PET detector electronics and hardware technologies.
• Develop detector readout architectures, including analog front‑end, ASIC interfaces, FPGA processing.
• Design, build, test, and validate electronic hardware solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and experiments for new tech.
• Analyze performance, identify limitations, and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across lifecycle.
