Job summary

Jobtailor in Wisconsin seeks a data science leader to develop, test, and curate statistical and machine learning models for customer strategy within Marketing. You will partner with executives to guide analytics-driven decision making and co-develop marketing tech with IT.

Your work includes data curation, model methodologies, and ROI demonstrations through PoC projects. You will manage Github projects, lead steering groups, and potentially lead UAT testing while delivering actionable insights

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
• Experience coding in Java, Python, C++
• Experience developing, testing, and curating statistical and machine learning models
• Experience using RDBMS such as Teradata or MSSQL Server
• Experience with cloud offerings (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience using Github for version control
• Experience using Hadoop frameworks (Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR)
• Strong collaboration and results-driven mindset
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-changing environments
• Strong communication and data visualization skills (Jupyter Notebooks, R Shiny, Tableau)
• Master’s or Ph.D. preferred
• 4+ years of relevant Data Science/Applied Math/IT experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead development, testing, and curation of statistical and ML models for customer strategy in Marketing
• Provide analytical support and consultation to marketing partners from exec to strategy teams
• Co-develop marketing technologies with IT teams
• Construct and curate datasets for model features
• Develop methodologies for model creation, testing, execution, and maintenance
• Manage projects and code bases in Github
• Lead working groups and steering committees with IT partners
• Possibly lead UAT testing
• Provide project communications to Marketing leaders
• Define analytical and reporting requirements with partners
• Respond to complex inquiries with actionable insights
• Deliver technical capabilities to partners
• Create dashboards or decks with recommendations
• Provide data-driven insights to confirm/refute hypotheses
• Advise Marketing leaders on technology investments
• Demonstrate ROI of tech advancements via PoC projects
• Perform additional tasks as assigned
