Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an analytics-focused senior statistician to design and implement statistical methods for data validity and predictive modeling. You will lead teams in developing sampling techniques and software for statistical analysis, guiding analysts in updating models, reports, and data pulls.

You will tackle business questions, advance modeling techniques, and provide actionable insights while reporting to the local office in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field with several years of experience in statistics or analytics.
• Master’s degree preferred with related experience in risk, insurance, or analytics.
• Proficiency in SAS SQL, R, and cloud databases.
• Experience with Excel functions and data visualization.
• Ability to apply statistical methods to business or research questions.

Responsibilities

• Develop statistical methods to ensure data validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Design sampling techniques and statistical methods to solve business problems.
• Answer business and research questions using data.
• Develop and manage software applications or programming for statistical modeling and analysis.
• Supervise analysts updating predictive models, reports, and data pulls.
• Deliver insights and recommendations from analyses.
