RLI Corp. is seeking a capable Claim Examiner IV for Personal Umbrella across multiple locations (Atlanta, Alpharetta, etc.).

The role focuses on investigation, evaluation, and monitoring of primary carrier activity to achieve optimal results in auto, premises, and personal liability claims. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of claims experience, including large exposure primary/excess liability, and strong knowledge of relevant state laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant legal or technical claims experience.
• Experience handling large exposure third-party liability claims on a primary/excess basis.
• Strong knowledge of Florida, California, New York and Texas case law, statutes and procedures affecting liability claims.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
• Ability to work with primary carriers and defense counsel on umbrella/excess handling.

Responsabilités

• Proactively handle Personal Umbrella Liability claims (auto, premises and personal liability) with a focus on investigation, evaluation, and monitoring of primary carrier activity.
• Investigate and analyze complex coverage issues; write coverage letters as appropriate.
• Complete timely investigations into liability and damages for early exposure recognition.
• Focus on claims resolution with timely liability investigations, damage evaluations and reserve setting.
• Handle claims in accordance with RLI's Best Practices.
