United Talent Staffing is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Underwriter with MGA/wholesale background for a direct-hire role. Hybrid work model; offices in Plainview, NY and Montvale, NJ. Strong agency relationships in the Northeast are highly valued.

The role emphasizes risk assessment, underwriting decisions, and portfolio growth in personal lines. Licensing in P&C is required, with target compensation of base plus bonus.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of personal lines underwriting experience.
• Experience in MGA or wholesale insurance is required.
• Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
• Established relationships with insurance agents or brokers in the Northeast.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

• Review, evaluate, and underwrite personal lines submissions.
• Analyze risk exposures, coverage needs, loss histories, and pricing to inform decisions.
• Evaluate new business and renewal submissions per guidelines.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with agents and wholesale partners.
• Review policy terms, coverage options, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare underwriting decisions, quotes, and coverage recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to grow profitable personal lines business.
• Maintain accurate underwriting records and documentation.
• Collaborate with agents, brokers, and internal teams for service excellence.
• Support business development and portfolio growth in the Northeast.
