Job summary

A & Associates, Inc. is seeking one experienced Personal Lines Underwriter for a confidential search with a highly respected specialty insurer. Preferred locations are Plainview, NY; Montvale, NJ; and Mt.

Laurel, NJ. Remote candidates may be considered. This role reviews, underwrites personal lines submissions, analyzes risk exposures and pricing, and develops productive agency relationships to support profitable portfolio growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of personal lines underwriting experience.
• Active insurance license required.
• Established client portfolio covering NJ, NY, PA, VA, MA, and the broader New England territory.
• MGA or wholesale insurance background required; retail agency, carrier, or MGU backgrounds not considered.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and underwrite personal lines submissions.
• Analyze risk exposures and pricing.
• Develop and maintain productive agency relationships.
• Provide underwriting expertise and exceptional service to agency partners.
