Safepoint MGA, LLC is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Underwriter for our Metairie, LA office. The role involves reviewing applications, inspections, and endorsements to determine eligibility under company guidelines.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of underwriting experience in P&C homeowners insurance and hold the LA P&C Producer license with reciprocal licenses in all 50 states. Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years of underwriting experience for a carrier in property and casualty homeowners insurance required.
• LA P&C individual producer license and reciprocal licenses in all 50 states.
• Thorough knowledge of underwriting processes and analytics.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Advanced computer skills and strong systems knowledge.
• College degree preferred.

Aufgaben

• Reviews applications, inspections, and endorsement requests to determine eligibility within guidelines.
• Reviews requests for cancellation/nonrenewal actions, reinstatements, and endorsements for acceptability.
• Interprets manuals and contracts for multiple lines of business in multiple states.
• Researches and enters information into the policy administration system.
• Communicates with internal/external parties and escalates issues as needed.
• Support agents and service associates with exception requests beyond authority.
