Job summary

You will lead performance toward retention and new business, oversee staff, compliance, and training while aligning with the agency business plan.

The role requires a Pennsylvania P&C license, strong underwriting knowledge, 5+ years in agency/carrier environments, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Property & Casualty Insurance Producer License.
• Strong knowledge of personal lines underwriting and coverage forms.
• Demonstrated successful management skills.
• Ability to coach and develop staff.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, effective communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years Agency or Carrier experience.
• Insurance designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive department performance toward customer retention and new business production goals through leadership and coaching.
• Manage staff with performance expectations, goals, monitoring results, and regular feedback sessions.
• Hold regular department meetings and oversee system reporting (quality control, expiration reports).
• Approve PTO and STD schedules and enforce personal lines procedures.
• Provide training and ensure compliance with laws, procedures, and corporate requirements.
• Develop relationships with insurance carriers and schedule carrier meetings.
