Job summary
Jobot seeks a Permanent Litigation Paralegal with a strong Personal Injury focus to join our Durham, NC team on-site. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience and a paralegal certificate, with superb organizational and research skills.
You will draft pleadings, manage case files, coordinate medical records, and support attorneys through depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Excellent communication is essential.
Qualifications
- 5+ years as a litigation paralegal with a focus on personal injury.
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent degree.
- Strong understanding of civil procedure and legal research.
- Excellent organizational skills for handling multiple cases and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury cases from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
- Coordinating medical records, bills, and lien reductions.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and judicial personnel.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
- Maintain organized case files and track deadlines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to case strategy.
