Job summary

PermitFlow is hiring for a customer-focused permit operations role in the United States Midwest. You will manage the end-to-end permit lifecycle, maintain strong municipal relationships, and coach a growing team to ensure timely and compliant submissions.

You will leverage data-driven insights to optimize processes, accelerate approvals, and improve customer conversations. A tech-driven, collaborative environment supports your growth and impact in construction permitting.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in construction permitting, project management, or similar role.
• Local permitting knowledge across Midwest with emphasis on MN, MI, IA and WI.
• Established municipal relationships with inspectors in target states.
• Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary resource for customers, updating on permit status and requirements.
• Provide training, coaching, and direction to junior team members.
• Oversee end-to-end permit applications, including researching requirements, preparing forms, collecting docs, and submitting to authorities.
• Generate detailed reports on permit progress for customers and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline workflows.
• Ensure all permit applications are complete, accurate, and compliant with jurisdictional standards.
• Monitor permit statuses and engage with authorities to expedite approvals.
