Job summary

The RN Clinical Periop Nurse at Wellstar Health System is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team delivering individualized, high-quality perioperative care. Working under Nurse Managers, you will apply evidence-based practice and WellStar's Professional Practice Model to guide practice and improve patient outcomes.

You will partner with patients and families, support safety goals, and participate in performance improvement and shared governance.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program
• BSN from an accredited school
• RN license (Single State) or Multi-state Compact
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification

Responsibilities

• Exemplary practice and outcomes
• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation) with evidence-based care
• Delivers patient-centered care reflecting age, gender and disease considerations
• Collaborates with patient and family using bedside reports, rounds and teaching
• Practices according to current clinical standards and Wellstar policies
• Coordinates safe, high-quality care and thorough documentation
• Supports performance improvement and shared governance initiatives

Education

Diploma from an accredited nursing program

Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
