Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (required)
• Master's degree in nursing (preferred)
• 5 years recent perioperative experience for those new to educator role (required)
• Current RN licensure in California
• BLS and ACLS certifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver perioperative staff education and competency validation
• Develop and implement core curricula and self-study modules
• Recruit, schedule, and evaluate external instructors for training programs
• Serve as a clinical resource and educational leader within the perioperative team
• Lead orientation and onboarding for new staff and preceptorship programs
• Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement activities
• Promote patient safety, professional development, and interdisciplinary collaboration
