Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an Educator, RN in Periop to guide staff development and ensure educational initiatives align with perioperative goals. You will act as educator, facilitator, change agent, and researcher to advance patient outcomes.

This role covers Trauma ORs in Northridge, CA, and St Mary, requiring collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and ongoing leadership engagement to drive outcomes and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in staff education and competency development.
• Ability to assess learning needs and plan educational activities.
• Strong teamwork with perioperative and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess educational needs through formal and informal methods with Perioperative teams.
• Conduct annual educational needs assessments and present plans to leadership.
• Evaluate projects and report progress to leadership.
• Collaborate to implement perioperative safety initiatives and patient safety projects.
• Report status to Chief nurses and risk management leaders.
• Review data to ensure compliance with safety initiatives and policies.
• Support rollout of safety projects and provide training.
• Develop and facilitate learning opportunities and drills.
