Job summary

The Perioperative Clinical Educator at the University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital leads educational initiatives for staff, patients and families. Collaborating with medical and hospital teams, you will develop core curricula, plan programs, and provide clinical oversight to ensure high-quality perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum 5 years perioperative experience.
• RN licensure in California; BLS/ACLS; OR certification in progress.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate annual staff education updates including regulatory topics.
• Develop and implement assessment, development and evaluation of staff.
• Serve as clinical resource in perioperative care.
• Facilitate preceptorships and competency validation.
• Participate in quality improvement and policy development.
• Plan and conduct learning programs for staff, patients and community.
• Recruit outside instructors for selected programs.
• Supervise and evaluate team members.
