Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Performance Software Engineer to lead performance testing and data-generation initiatives across the organization. You will translate real-world usage into actionable insights, defining standards, benchmarks, and optimization strategies to improve throughput and latency.

You will build reusable tooling and best practices, collaborating with engineering teams to proactively identify and remediate performance challenges while supporting a scalable cloud service in AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/IT or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of Software Engineering experience, including 2+ years in K6 or other load test frameworks, Javascript.
• 3+ years of Cloud Native Environments (AWS).
• Strong background in design, performance and optimization tuning.
• Deep expertise with distributed computing systems and container native environments.
• Proficient in scripting for automation (Bash, Python, or similar).
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performance Testing Design and Implementation: design, implement, maintain, and support performance testing frameworks and data generation.
• Documentation: develop and maintain technical docs and performance standards.
• Develop Performance Best Practices: define and evolve best practices for performance optimization, scalability, and measurement.
