Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Performance Software Engineer to lead performance testing, data generation frameworks, and optimization initiatives. You will translate real-world usage into actionable insights, shaping performance standards and cross‑team strategies to boost throughput and reduce latency.

As a hands-on leader, you will build reusable tooling and best practices across a Java/Kotlin/C++ stack, with AWS cloud, PostgreSQL databases, and modern observability tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/IT or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years as a Software Engineer, including 2+ years using K6 or similar load test frameworks.
• 3+ years in Cloud Native Environments AWS.
• Strong design, performance and optimization tuning background.
• Deep expertise with distributed computing systems and container-native environments.
• Scripting for automation/observability (Bash/Python).
• Excellent troubleshooting and cross-team communication.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and related data handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain performance testing and data generation frameworks (k6, JavaScript).
• Develop and maintain performance documentation, architecture records, and standards.
• Define and evolve performance best practices; partner with engineering teams to optimize scalability and performance.
