Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Performance Software Engineer to lead performance testing, data generation, and optimization initiatives across the organization. You will translate usage patterns into actionable insights to ensure highly responsive, reliable, and scalable systems.

Based in the USA with flexibility for remote work (hybrid option in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL). You will collaborate with engineers to define standards, benchmarks, and best practices for performance, latency reduction,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/IT or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years as Software Engineer, incl. 2+ years in K6 or load testing frameworks.
• 3+ years in Cloud Native Environments AWS preferred.
• Strong background in design, performance and optimization tuning.
• Distributed systems and container-native environments expertise.
• Scripting for automation (Bash, Python, or similar).
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience with PostgreSQL in tech stack.

Responsibilities

• Performance testing framework design and implementation.
• Documentation of architecture and performance standards.
• Define and evolve best practices for performance optimization and scalability; collaborate with teams to identify bottlenecks and remediation.
