Foundation Software in Strongsville, OH is seeking a Sr. Performance Engineer to assess and enhance performance, scalability, and site reliability of our software.

You will design and execute performance tests, analyze metrics, and collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize systems. The role requires 7+ years of experience and strong tooling knowledge (JMeter, Dynatrace, Gatling, LoadRunner) plus programming for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of performance testing/engineering experience.
• Proficiency with performance testing tools (JMeter, Azure Load Testing, Dynatrace, LoadRunner, Gatling).
• Strong understanding of performance metrics (response time, throughput, latency).
• Experience with programming/scripting for test automation (Java, Python, C#).
• Knowledge of web servers, databases, and networks and their impact on performance.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and integrate testing into Agile sprints.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance tests to evaluate system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Plan performance testing objectives with stakeholders based on specifications.
• Analyze results, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with development/ops teams to optimize performance and tune code/configs.
• Utilize performance testing tools to create and run tests and evaluate tooling needs.
• Generate detailed performance reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Work with developers, QA, and admins to integrate testing into releases.
• Stay current with industry trends and improve testing strategies.
