ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP® is looking for a Senior Performance Engineer to join our Public Sector East team in Florida. Frequent travel (approximately 20%-40%), including overnight stays is required.
The Senior Performance Engineer is an engineer that has exhibited outstanding performance in both project development, and the advancement of ESG ideals, thus designated as someone to emulate. A Senior Performance Engineer has all the same responsibilities as a Performance Engineer, with the additional responsibility to mentor other engineers as well as spearheading as the lead for technical assessment and viability of new technologies. As warranted, the Senior Performance Engineer is expected to have a holistic, programmatic and strategic approach to various vertical markets or clients, and serve as the subject matter expert for applicable elements.
The Senior Performance Engineer is the primary technical project developer within an ESG region. As the primary resource for technical expertise, Account Executives and Regional management count on Senior Performance Engineers to be responsible for understanding the technical needs and wants of a customer, then turning that information into accurate concrete solutions. Senior Performance Engineers may deal with technical issues that include but not limited to facility utility‑consumption analysis and reduction strategies, general capital improvements, and even large‑scale community infrastructure projects.
The Senior Performance Engineer is responsible for the technical strategies, the costing of projects, forecasting energy reduction for a given solution if applicable, creating a plan to measure and verify the energy reductions forecasted, presentation of findings and solutions to customers and managers, and to assist the delivery team to ensure smooth installations and achieve exceptional results for the customer, including assessing key risk elements such as constructability, scope, costs and guarantee.
