Job summary

The City of Chicago Office of the Inspector General is seeking a supervisory analyst to lead performance analysts in the Public Safety section. You will oversee daily operations, coordinate with CPD, COPA, and other areas, and guide data-driven evaluations of policing and accountability practices.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with five years of auditing or analysis experience, or a master’s degree with four years, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience in program auditing or operations analysis, OR a master’s degree plus four years.
• Experience in public safety oversight or related government/non-profit work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises performance analysts and senior performance analysts; oversees day-to-day Public Safety operations.
• Manage teams conducting inquiries into police and police accountability operations, policies, programs, and practices.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify areas of concern and improvements.
• Develop recommendations for policing and accountability reforms based on best practices and research.
• Draft, review, and edit reports with qualitative and quantitative analyses.
• Attend stakeholder meetings and participate in community engagement.
