Job summary

Teradyne’s Innovation Lab Software Engineer role is based in North Reading, MA, focusing on advanced test software for microLED fabrication stages. You will develop production-grade software with C#, C++, and Python, integrating vision, motion-control, and optical subsystems.

You’ll collaborate with hardware, optical, and business teams to analyze requirements, validate software, and deploy robust solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of experience programming instrumentation and supporting hardware product systems development.
• Proven expertise in C# development and creating efficient, scalable software solutions.
• Experience programming sensors, motion-control systems and cameras.
• Experience writing unit tests, test harnesses, and automating software testing.
• Experience with Windows, Visual Studio, Jira, and version-control systems; Git advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-quality software instrumentation solutions using C#.
• Develop scalable, high-performance software in C#, C++, and Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Build and integrate vision systems with automated test equipment, motion-control, cameras, and optical subsystems.
• Support system validation, deployment, automated testing, and continuous improvement in manufacturing environments.
• Partner with the team to explore new technologies and architectures for customer needs.
