Job summary

Path Robotics is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to architect and maintain our Perception codebase. You’ll enable ML, CV, and robotics teams to turn prototypes into production-grade solutions through robust services, tooling, and scalable pipelines.

You’ll own deployment, CUDA/PyTorch environments, and memory budgeting while mentoring mid-level engineers and collaborating with research groups across the data platform. Join a team focused on hard problems and rapid impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production backend systems in Python; C++ a plus.
• Expertise in architecture, concurrency, performance and API design.
• Deep experience with gRPC/Protobuf services and schema evolution.
• Hands-on with containerized deployment, Linux and GPU compute.
• Experience building developer tools for ML/CV or research teams.

Responsibilities

• Wrap perception ML models into production services for welding robots.
• Build gRPC/Protobuf interfaces with versioning for evolving models.
• Own deployment infra including containers and GPU memory budgeting.
• Create observability pipelines and surface fleet perception failures.
• Design data pipelines for active learning; route data to training services.
• Promote software quality through code reviews, tests, and CI/CD; mentor juniors.
