Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking an experienced Perception Machine Learning Algorithm Engineer to join the ADAS/Autonomous Driving team. You will research, design, implement, optimize, and deploy state-of-the-art ML models that advance perception algorithms for autonomous driving in Lucid vehicles.

Responsibilities include developing perception algorithms with camera, LiDAR and radar data, and deploying them into production programs while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in deep learning for dynamic/static object detection, tracking, and segmentation.
• 3D point cloud processing with LiDAR/Radar data experience.
• Proficient in Python with scalable software development.
• Experience with PyTorch and deployment toolchains (ONNX, TensorRT).
• Ability to design/evaluate ML pipelines and unit tests across diverse conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field; 3+ years of experience or a PhD in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize perception algorithms for Level 2/2+/3 autonomous driving using camera, LiDAR, and radar data.
• Design and implement 2D/3D object detection, segmentation, tracking, and multi-task learning.
• Research BEV-based transformer models and integrate them into perception tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for robust deployment in production vehicles.
• Deploy, test, and validate perception algorithms in Lucid production programs.
