Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Perception Lead to drive perception architecture for autonomous navigation and target detection across spaceflight platforms. You will lead algorithm development using camera, LIDAR, and radar data, and shape roadmaps for perception subsystems while collaborating with GN&C and avionics teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in computer vision, sensor fusion, or perception for autonomous systems.
• Leadership experience guiding perception architecture and strategy without formal authority.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python for perception development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and integration of perception algorithms for autonomous navigation and targeting.
• Architect CV and sensor fusion pipelines using cameras, LIDAR, and RADAR data.
• Define roadmaps for perception subsystems aligned with vehicle autonomy and mission goals.
• Mentor junior/mid engineers and collaborate with GN&C, avionics, and systems teams.
• Support HITL/SITL testing and field tests to validate perception performance.
