Blue Origin is seeking a senior Vision-Based Navigation Engineer to drive architecture, strategy, and execution of CV algorithms across lunar missions from Florida. You will set technical direction for flight baselines, validation, and cross-spacecraft interfaces, partnering with experts to ensure mission success.

You will mentor engineers, influence the technology roadmap for CV navigation, and work within a safety-focused culture that values collaboration and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of demonstrated experience in computer vision development for aerospace or robotics systems.
• Recognized expert in robotics and computer vision with leadership of complex projects.
• Strong experience with optics, camera hardware, and calibration; trade studies.
• Foundational understanding of synthetic scene generation and radiometry.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for computer vision across multiple programs.
• Set best practices for testing and verification of CV software modules.
• Oversee integration of CV software into vehicle baselines.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead cross-program technical exchanges.
• Influence make/buy decisions and technology roadmaps for CV navigation.
• Lead validation strategies including unit testing, simulations, and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
