Job summary

Blue Origin in Colorado is seeking a senior expert to shape the architecture and execution of vision-based navigation algorithms for lunar missions. You will lead flight algorithm baselines, performance analysis, and validation, while mentoring engineers across programs.

You will engage across subsystems to ensure mission requirements are met, influence technology choices, and drive engineering excellence at scale in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in computer vision application development or equivalent
• Technical expert in Robotics and Computer Vision with complex system leadership
• Experience with optics, camera hardware and calibration, incl. trade studies

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Computer Vision across multiple programs
• Define and enforce best practices for unit/integration testing and V&V of CV software
• Oversee integration of CV software into vehicle baselines
• Identify gaps and drive automation, tooling, and process improvements
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers across teams
• Represent organization in reviews, forums, and cross-program exchanges
• Drive resolution of complex, multi-subsystem technical challenges
• Influence make/buy and tech roadmap decisions for CV navigation
