We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join the Stretch Perception and Machine Learning (PerML) team. In this role, you will play an important role in building, maintaining, and expanding a successful product that is already solving problems outside of the lab for customers around the world. We are seeking a Perception Engineer to join our Stretch PerML (Perception and Machine Learning) team to work on a robot that is already deployed with customers around the word. In this role, you will help build, maintain, and improve the perception systems on the production robot fleet. You will work with experienced engineers, learn from real field data. Our team works on:

• Perception systems: object detection, localization, state estimation, and calibration
• Supporting infrastructure: sensor drivers, debugging and visualization tools, logging, and off-robot data processing pipelines
• Quality and reliability: regular robot testing, performance analysis, and continuous improvement of what we deliver to customers

What You’ll Do:

We are interested in all qualified candidates eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas for this position.

The base pay range for this position is between $115,000 to $135,000 annually. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors including, but not limited to internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience. This range represents a good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
