Job summary

Discover International is partnering with a clinical-stage oncology biotech to hire a hands-on peptide chemist who thrives at the bench and can deliver difficult sequences independently. The role centers on day-to-day SPPS, peptide purification, and analytical validation, with close collaboration to a senior peptide lead on programs advancing toward the clinic.

Strong SPPS and HPLC skills are essential; GMP experience is a plus for this position based in the US.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on SPPS experience (automated synthesizers; CEM Liberty Blue is a plus)
• Strong prep and analytical HPLC skills
• GMP experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Run SPPS day to day, including short, cyclic and modified peptides with unnatural amino acids
• Troubleshoot couplings, cleavage and cyclization
• Purify your own peptides by prep HPLC and check them by analytical HPLC and LC-MS
• Work closely with a senior peptide lead on programs heading towards the clinic
