Job summary

Texas Workforce Commission is seeking a seasoned PeopleSoft Solutions Analyst (Systems Analyst V) based in Austin. You will coordinate user requirements, design interfaces, and support CAPPS HR/Payroll/Recruiting modules while following our SDLC and guiding others where needed.

The role requires strong analytical skills, customer focus, and effective communication. You may work outside standard hours to resolve urgent issues and ensure IT operations remain steady.

Qualifications

• Four years of full-time experience in computer programming, systems analysis, and/or program analysis or four years of full-time experience which provided general knowledge of data processing or systems analysis.
• Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses on assigned AS projects including but not limited to requirements for business, systems, and technical problems.
• Provide direct support of the agency's CAPPS HR/Payroll/Recruiting and Talent Management system with a focus on the Peoplesoft Payroll module.
• Document analyses using approved software development methodologies, tools, and techniques to address project and automation development needs.
• Conduct joint application design sessions with customers and IT staff to define business requirements and develop software systems requirements.
• Communicate with users to determine requirements of new programs/systems or modifications to existing programs/systems.
• Prepare preliminary and detailed designs, process models, flowcharts, data mapping and other documentation for present and proposed business processes and automated systems to verify design logic and processes.
• May include training, presentations, or system demonstrations.
• Report work progress, risks, and issues to manager and leadership
• Assist in the diagnosis of problems associated with automated applications and writes detailed specifications for developing or correcting software for handling complex processes to improve system performance and/or accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and agency laws, rules, policies, and procedures including IT Handbook and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that govern TWC IT.
• Contribute to teamwork and communicate effectively.
• Promote an image of IT excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned to maintain IT operations.
