Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Software Engineer IV to lead complex development and resolve high-stakes system issues. You will design and implement software based on approved specs, mentor junior developers, and partner with teams to deliver critical business applications on time.

The role requires a BS in CS/SE, 8–12 years of related experience, and at least 5+ years in PeopleSoft development. Evening shift may be required; on-site work in Birmingham, Alabama.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of related experience, including 5+ years in PeopleSoft development.
• Experience with large, complex enterprise apps.
• Strong understanding of client/server architectures and design.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and ensure successful technical implementation of business software applications.
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews and design reviews.
• Develop complex software per approved design and correct system problems.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver projects on schedule and to spec.
• Identify process improvements to drive efficiency and service levels.
