Motion Industries is seeking a Software Engineer III to develop and install increasingly complex software solutions under limited supervision. You will analyze systems and propose policy improvements, guiding junior developers and influencing technical direction.
The role requires strong programming skills, production support, and the ability to design interfaces between ERP and legacy systems while maintaining coding standards and documentation.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field and five (5) to eight (8) years of related experience; or equivalent combination.
Responsibilities
- Designs and constructs moderately complex interfaces between ERP and legacy systems.
- Provides production support by troubleshooting issues, proposing solutions, developing and testing fixes, and migrating solutions.
- Uses back-end programming languages, as well as front-end script languages to optimize performance, scalability, and security.
- Codes programming logic for new or existing solutions following design specifications by senior staff.
- Handles installation, configuration, development, workflow design, monitoring, and upgrades of assigned software products.
- Maintains up-to-date records of issues with existing code.
- Monitors quality and performance of applications through testing and maintenance.
- Develops and maintains applications for business processes and systems.
- Ensures adherence to development best practices and standards within the group.
