Job summary

Motion Industries in Birmingham, AL seeks a Senior PeopleSoft Engineer focused on Financials to design, develop, and maintain PeopleSoft applications. You’ll partner with analysts and end users to translate requirements into scalable solutions, with focus on AR, AP, and GL modules and extended PS components.

The role requires deep PeopleSoft Financials expertise, strong Oracle SQL skills, and experience across the full development lifecycle, balancing performance with reliable delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years with PeopleSoft applications and related tech.
• 7+ years with PeopleSoft Financials (AR, AP, GL).
• 5+ years in Oracle databases and RHEL/Windows environments.
• Expert SQL skills and PeopleSoft lifecycle experience.
• Strong communication and independent work capability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain PeopleSoft Financials functionality.
• Collaborate with analysts and users to document requirements.
• Work with AR, AP, GL modules and other PS modules as needed.
• Develop using PS tools: App Designer, PeopleCode, Integration Broker, CI, App Engine.
• Write tests, produce design docs, and maintain technical documentation.
• Performance tuning for PS processes and SQL queries.
• Support deployments, production issues, and system rollouts.
