Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst for PeopleSoft Accounts Payable and Procurement. You will optimize Procure-to-Pay processes, configure PeopleSoft modules, and collaborate across Finance, IT, and Procurement to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.

You will lead testing, create specifications, and support month-end close while ensuring data integrity between AP, Procurement, and GL. Strong people skills and process knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Significant functional experience supporting PeopleSoft Procurement/Purchasing and Accounts Payable."
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including requisitions, purchase orders, approvals, receiving, supplier management, and matching.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, including voucher entry, matching, payment processing, payment exceptions, adjustments, and accounting.
• Experience with data flow and integration between Procurement, AP, and GL.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional expert for PeopleSoft Procurement/Purchasing and AP.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into functional designs and configurations.
• Support end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes including requisitions, POs, receipts, vouchers, and payments.
• Configure and maintain PeopleSoft Procurement and AP components (business units, suppliers, controls, workflows).
• Monitor and resolve procurement, voucher, payment, accounting, and interface issues.
• Validate accounting entries and reconcile Procurement and AP with the PeopleSoft GL.
• Support month-end/year-end close activities and accruals.
• Partner with technical teams to develop functional specs for integrations, reports, and interfaces.
• Lead testing activities and create training materials.
• Identify opportunities to improve controls, automation, data quality, and efficiency.
