Job summary

Valon is seeking a People Partner to join our NYC-based team, partnering with Deployment and Implementation and the broader People function to design and scale people programs as ValonOS expands. You’ll move between high-level strategy and coaching sessions, building practical tools, templates, and rhythms to improve manager effectiveness, talent decisions, and organizational health.

This role emphasizes in-person collaboration in New York City and offers a competitive base salary with equity

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in an HRBP, People Partner, or equivalent role advising senior leaders.
• Experience supporting an operationally complex organization such as deployment/implementation.
• Track record building and shipping people programs, especially manager development and talent processes.
• Strong judgment and ability to move from strategy to execution in ambiguity.
• Excellent coaching, communication, discretion and empathy.
• Willingness to work in person with the team in New York City.
• Mortgage/financial-services experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Advise Deployment and Implementation leaders on team structure, workforce planning, headcount, and growth.
• Lead manager development and learning programs and translate plans into practical tools.
• Own the annual and quarterly roadmap for people practices and organizational change support.
• Measure programs for impact and iterate based on data and feedback.
• Partner with People Operations, Legal, and Talent Acquisition on complex situations.
• Support reorganizations and change management with structure and judgment.
