Job summary

Synthesia, a leading AI video platform, seeks a Senior People Partner to shape people strategy as we scale. Report to the HR Director and collaborate with senior leaders to build high-performing teams, manage risk, and drive key people initiatives.

You will use data from attrition, engagement, and performance to guide organizational health and growth, coaching leaders and partnering with Talent and Total Rewards to enable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a People Partner or HRBP in a scaling tech environment.
• Experience advising senior leaders on organisation design, talent and performance.
• Strong ability to connect people data with business outcomes and leadership behavior.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Commercial acumen with understanding of productivity impact.
• Experience handling complex performance and employee relations matters.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change.

Senior People Partner

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior People Partner to help shape our People strategy and execution as we scale. You’ll report to the HR Director and work closely with senior leaders across our customer organisation, acting as both a strategic advisor and a hands‑on executor. You’ll build high-performing teams, spot emerging risks and opportunities early, and own the delivery of key people initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with leaders on organisational design, role clarity and how to structure for growth and impact
• Use data and insights (attrition, engagement, performance, talent distribution) to build a clear picture of organisational health and set priorities
• Advise and coach managers and leaders through complex people challenges, raising the bar on performance, feedback, accountability and talent development
• Support talent management practices including succession planning, performance calibration and development of critical talent
• Own the execution of key people initiatives from strategy through design and delivery, making sure they drive meaningful outcomes
• Take a hands‑on approach to complex performance, employee relations and organisational issues, using sound judgment and pragmatism
• Partner with specialist teams (Talent, People Ops, Total Rewards) and use AI and automation to simplify people practices and improve decision-making

We’d love to hear from you if you have

• Significant experience as a People Partner, HR Business Partner or similar strategic HR role
• First‑hand experience of organisations scaling, with an understanding of what needs to evolve at different growth stages
• A track record of advising senior leaders on organisational design, talent, performance and leadership decisions
• Strong organisational diagnostic skills, with the ability to connect people data, business performance and leadership behaviour to find root causes
• Commercial acumen, and the ability to understand how organisational decisions influence productivity and business outcomes
• Experience handling complex performance and employee relations matters, balancing business needs, employee experience and risk
• Excellent relationship‑building and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders while maintaining trust
• Strong written and spoken communication in English
