Job summary

Material Bank, the world’s largest material marketplace for architecture and design, seeks a Sr. People Operations Specialist to drive the employee experience from onboarding to offboarding with precision and care.

You’ll oversee core People operations end-to-end—benefits administration, HRIS management, compliance across jurisdictions, and collaboration with Legal, Finance, and IT to scale processes as the organization grows.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Human Resources, People Operations, or HR Administration.
• Experience supporting lifecycle processes, benefits, HRIS, and compliance.
• Data-driven with ability to analyze large datasets in Excel.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding.
• Administer employee benefits programs, leaves, workers' comp, unemployment, and vendor coordination.
• Maintain accurate employee records and data integrity across HR systems.
• Support implementation and adoption of new HR technologies and automation.
• Leverage HR technology to improve efficiency and the employee experience.
• Prepare employment agreements, compensation letters, and other communications.
• Ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions and with legal requirements.
• Administer HR systems (ADP, Deel) and ATS (Greenhouse); conduct audits and reporting.
• Collaborate with Recruiting to coordinate interviews and assessments.
