Job summary

Markel Corporation in the United States is seeking a Sr. People Analytics Data Analyst to join our HR Technology & Analytics team.

You will design and maintain dashboards in Power BI and Workday Prism, and build scalable data pipelines that transform Workday data and integrate external sources. You will partner with HR Centers of Excellence to translate reporting requirements into scalable solutions, validate data, document rules and lineage, and automate processes to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, HR analytics, or related field.
5+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, HR analytics, reporting, or related field.
Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines or automated workflows using ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx).
Experience building dashboards and data visualizations in Power BI or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Own design, development, and ongoing maintenance of interactive dashboards in Power BI and Workday Prism.
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines transforming Workday data and external sources.
Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual reporting and improve efficiency.
Lead data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting for reporting assets.
Partner with HR stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable data solutions.
