Job summary

Moneybox is hiring a Senior Financial Advisor to act as a technical anchor for complex pension cases, focusing on drawdown and retirement planning. You will quality-assure engine-generated plans, shape House Rules, and coach junior team members while ensuring compliant, customer-centred outcomes.

The role is remote, with UK policy considerations and a focus on delivering high-quality advice. You’ll work alongside the Advice Engine, guiding plans to ensure suitability and governance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (QCF Level 4) or equivalent with significant pensions qualifications.
• Substantial post-qualification experience as a regulated advisor focusing on retirement and at-retirement advice.
• Deep technical knowledge of UK pensions, drawdown, ISAs and pension tax treatment.
• Experience in QA, file checking or T&C supervision and ability to articulate good practice.

Responsibilities

• Run video consultations, establish customer goals and walk through plans.
• Handle complex escalations from the support team, including vulnerable customers and multi-pot pensions.
• Make final calls on off-ramping and document rationale for customers and team.
• Review engine-generated plans for suitability and sign off for release.
• Shape the House Rules and work with Risk & Compliance on stress testing the advice model.
• Coach junior Advisers and potentially line-manage in specific circumstances.
