Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Senior Pensions Actuarial Consultant to join our team and deliver high-quality advice to trustees and corporate clients on defined benefit pension schemes. You will work with colleagues across funding, investment, risk transfer and covenant to bring the best solutions to our clients.

You will lead client meetings, present findings, review calculations, mentor juniors and help set fees and project resourcing.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Actuary / scheme Actuary.
• Excellent communication, analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to manage projects and mentor junior colleagues.
• Good understanding of how UK pension schemes operate.

Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings and presentations.
• Provide informed views on topics based on client circumstances and tailor advice.
• Utilise actuarial skills to consult on technical topics.
• Communicate with clients clearly and succinctly.
• Act as final technical reviewer for actuarial calculations.
• Agree strategy, direction and resourcing for client work.
• Supervise, appraisals and mentor staff (if applicable).
• Participate in setting and monitoring of fees and budgets.
